Awards for Best Oral Presentation at the Irish Thoracic Society Annual Scientific Meeting 2008

The winner of the first prize for best oral presentation was Dr. M. P. O'Sullivan of the Institute of Molecular Medicine, TCD/St. James' Hospital, Dublin for her presentation 'A Serine Protease-dependent Pathway Mediates Macrophage Cell Death in Response to M. tuberculosis Infection.

 

The winner of the second prize for best oral presentation was Dr Marie Therese Walsh, Post Doctoral Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons, Beaumont Hospital for her presentation 'Eosinophil Peroxidase Induces Cell Cycle and Growth Stimulating Effects on IMR-32 Nerve Cells'.
